A glimpse of freedom
Although I do like this photo, taken from the Castello de Vezio at Lake Como, the place is a disgrace. They are supposed to continue an old tradition of the area, training falcons and other birds of prey, but now it works mainly as a prison for these remarkable animals.
It's really sad looking at these birds trying to break their chains, as they are standing locked in the area for public demonstration, while their only chance to fly is when their "trainer" lets them fly around, again for the pleasure of the paying visitors.
